Moving is a pain, as usual. We managed to fit everything into one POD plus my car, which will show up in Albuquerque next week sometime. The POD was filled to the brim!
\We left Atlanta on Thursday morning (June 30) and drove most of the day to get to Lake Charles, LA. The dogs got a nice break at a dog park in Baton Rouge in the afternoon. They had a rough few days of high anxiety leading up to the move... Bailey spent a lot of time pacing and whining and trying to get in the car so we wouldn't leave her, and Addie spent a lot of time curled in a ball looking worried. Luckily they calmed down once we got in the car and had a nice, restful drive.
They were pretty well behaved in the hotel too! Here's a pretty shot of the scenery in Louisiana along I-10. Lots of water (and humidity and bugs) everywhere we stopped.
Friday morning we woke up early to make it to San Antonio in time to see Leighton's performance at her camp in San Antonio. She might have a future in martial arts! Or soccer... or basketball... or golf... or swimming... or gymnastics... depending when you ask her :)
